About The Position

Direct Care Staff support people with developmental goals and help them grow, learn, and live well. The role involves building meaningful relationships with the individuals served, encouraging community participation and favorite activities, and supporting goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Staff also assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. The work location is Bloomington, Illinois; new employee training takes place at the regional office in Peoria, Illinois. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., at $19.45 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
