Direct Care Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (weekend only)
About The Position
Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This position is for the Weekend Days shift, offering premium pay. New graduates are welcomed and can inquire about sign-on bonuses, the Nurse Residency Program, education assistance for BSN degrees, and loan repayment. The role involves assessing and admitting patients, performing rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and taking overall responsibility for patient care. The Emergency Department at Sentara Careplex Hospital is equipped with 43 beds, including 11 fast-track beds, and is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and nurses with specialized training in emergency care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric certifications. Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
