About The Position

The Director, IT Infrastructure Services provides strategic, operational, and leadership accountability for the enterprise technology infrastructure that underpins clinical, administrative, and business operations. This role oversees core infrastructure domains including network, telephony, end-user computing and desktop services, server and storage platforms, data center and cloud infrastructure, and related foundational technologies that enable safe, reliable, and secure care delivery. The Director is responsible for ensuring infrastructure services are resilient, scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational performance goals. This role balances day-to-day operational excellence with long-term infrastructure strategy and modernization, ensuring technology foundations effectively support clinical systems, digital platforms, and enterprise applications while evolving to meet changing business, security, and patient care demands.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent substantial progressive work experience, certifications, and education), Required
  • Licensure/certification: Infrastructure related certification in multiple domains relevant to area of portfolio responsibilities, Required.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (within 6 months of hire), Required
  • Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of combined IT/Healthcare experience, of which included a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing IT Infrastructure, Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for assigned application portfolios, including setting direction, establishing priorities, and ensuring outcomes align with organizational strategy
  • Lead and manage through subordinate leaders, including directing work, assigning responsibilities, evaluating performance, addressing performance issues, and ensuring continuity of leadership and operations
  • Make decisions regarding portfolio priorities, tradeoffs, risk mitigation, and resource allocation to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant technology services that support patient care and business operations
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with executive, clinical, and business leaders to align technology services with organizational needs and to address issues that may impact patient care, compliance, or operational performance
  • Ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems, oversee disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards as they relate to application services, data integrity, security, and operational controls
  • Ensure infrastructure meets regulatory and audit requirements
