About The Position

The Dining Services Associate performs resident food service duties that may include patient meal service, food preparation and assembly, and maintaining sanitation standards for the department and position. The role is based at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, Connecticut, and is scheduled for 15 hours per week on the evening shift, from 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM, every other weekend. The minimum age is 18.

Requirements

Minimum age of 18.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions in English.
Ability to work in a team setting, meet deadlines, and follow processes.

Responsibilities

Assess unit service needs for food, paper, dishware, sanitation, and overall cleanliness.
Pick up non-food supplies, diet lists, menus, and meal tickets, and restock cabinets.
Pick up food supplies, set up service areas, take temperatures, and record them.
Serve resident meals according to meal orders taken by the CNA.
Clean service areas, including utensils, trash, and service carts, after each meal.
Return soiled items and unused food to the dish room after each meal.
Clean and sanitize all service items using the dish machine process after each meal.
Return serving utensils, pans, and pots to the appropriate unit after each meal.
Inventory items needed for the next shift and place the list in the unit mailbox in the kitchen.
Complete the unit sanitation checklist and give it to the supervisor before leaving for the day.
Perform other duties as assigned.
