Dining Services Assistant Manager
About The Position
The Dining Services Assistant Manager supports the dining department at a long-term care facility and assists the Dining Services Manager in overseeing dining operations. The role helps ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service while contributing to positive experiences for residents and the community. The position requires residence within the service area and compliance with applicable COVID-19 vaccination policies. The offered pay rate is $25.00–$30.00 per hour. Rates are determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs and operational requirements of the facility served.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and dining services best practices.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Residency within the service area is required.

- Previous experience in food service management or a similar role is desired.
Responsibilities
- Support the Dining Services Manager in managing daily dining operations, including supervising and training staff.
- Help ensure compliance with dietary guidelines, food safety standards, and HCSG policies.
- Assist in maintaining accurate food inventory, cost, and employee schedule records.
- Lead staff training on food preparation, service techniques, and safety protocols.
- Communicate with residents, families, and staff to enhance the dining experience.
- Conduct regular inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with team members, residents, and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
