About The Position

Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests by taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. This is a regular part-time position scheduled for at least 22.5 hours and fewer than 30 hours per week, with compensation of up to $17 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma preferred; GED accepted.
At least one year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Competent organizational and time-management skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive manner.
Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
Set up the dining room and ensure service items such as silverware, napkins, menus, and salt and pepper shakers are available.
Clean and sanitize the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed.
Ensure safe food handling.
Assist with preparing beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
Assist residents with special dining requests.
Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal and complete attendance documentation.
Assist with special events.
Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
