About The Position

Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests by taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. This role is offered with various full-time and part-time schedules; the listed schedule is full-time, with an hourly salary range of $15.00–$17.00.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred; GED accepted.
Minimum of one year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Competent organizational and time-management skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience working with seniors.
Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. Must use proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive manner.
Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
Set up the dining room and ensure service items are readily available, including silverware, napkins, menus, and salt and pepper shakers.
Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed.
Ensure safe food handling.
Assist with preparing beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
Assist residents with special dining requests.
Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal and complete attendance documentation.
Assist with special events.
Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
