About The Position
As a Server in Cogir Senior Living’s community restaurant, you deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service during meals and special events to create exceptional dining experiences for senior residents. You help ensure residents’ dietary needs and preferences are met while fostering a welcoming and inclusive dining environment, and build meaningful relationships with residents. The role offers a supportive work environment, flexible schedules, and growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
- At least 6–12 months of experience in a serving, hospitality, or customer service role.
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests warmly and create a positive dining atmosphere.
- Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
- Serve meals according to residents’ dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
- Provide a smooth and enjoyable dining experience by serving food and beverages with a smile.
- Prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware.
- Clear tables promptly after meals and maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Reset tables for the next meal service.
- Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages.
- Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards.
