About The Position

As a Server in the community restaurant, you deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service to senior residents during meals and special events. You help ensure residents’ dietary needs and preferences are met while fostering a welcoming and inclusive dining environment. The role involves building meaningful relationships with residents and providing a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• A Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes are a plus.
• At least 6–12 months of experience in a serving, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus.
• Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly and create a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Serve meals according to residents’ dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
• Provide residents with a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
• Prepare the dining room before meals by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware.
• Clear tables after meals and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food and beverage handling.
• Comply with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards.
