About The Position

As a Server in the community restaurant, provide friendly, professional, and efficient service during meals and special events to deliver exceptional dining experiences for senior residents. Ensure residents’ dietary needs and preferences are met while fostering a welcoming and inclusive dining environment. Build meaningful relationships with residents in a supportive workplace that offers flexible schedules and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• A Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
• At least 6–12 months of experience in serving, hospitality, or customer service.
• Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly and create a positive dining atmosphere.
• Accurately take meal orders and promptly deliver food and beverages.
• Serve meals according to residents’ dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
• Provide a smooth, enjoyable dining experience with a friendly manner.
• Prepare the dining room before meals by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware.
• Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food and beverage handling.
• Comply with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards.
