About The Position

Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests. They take meal orders, serve meals, and provide assistance. Various full-time and part-time schedules are available. The salary is $15.92 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred; GED accepted.
• Minimum of one year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Competent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with seniors.
• Ability to perform the described physical activities, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; intermittent lifting and supporting of residents is required, using proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive manner.
• Learn and remember residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Set up the dining room and ensure service items, such as silverware, napkins, menus, and salt and pepper shakers, are available.
• Clean and sanitize the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed.
• Ensure safe food handling.
• Assist with preparing beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
• Assist residents with special dining requests.
• Account for all residents during each meal and document their attendance.
• Assist with special events.
• Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
