Dining Server (Part-Time)
About The Position
Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is seeking friendly, outgoing, customer-service-focused individuals to join its Residential Living Dining Services Team as Dining Servers. The role is suited to people who enjoy working with seniors and helping create a positive dining experience for residents and guests. It is a part-time opportunity, including after-school work or supplemental income. The position offers 16–24 hours per week, with a minimum of two shifts. Team members work both daytime and evening hours and are scheduled for every other weekend and holiday. Weekday shifts are 4:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.; Saturday shifts are 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; and Sunday shifts are 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Compensation ranges from $12.50 to $14.84 per hour depending on experience, with an additional $0.50 per hour weekend differential. The role supports the community’s mission to meet residents’ spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs through high-quality facilities, services, and personal care in a manner faithful to the Bible and honoring Jesus Christ.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old; employees under 18 must have working papers.
- Must be available to work both daytime and evening hours.
- Must be available to work every other weekend rotation.
- Must demonstrate accuracy, dependability, and initiative, and a desire to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver a friendly, memorable dining experience for residents and guests.
- Learn and follow established safe food-handling procedures.
- Assist with dietary functions and activities as directed, including setting up dining rooms, serving meals, cleaning tables, and preparing condiments, desserts, garnishes, salads, and beverages for meal service.
