About The Position

Dining Room Servers support the Culinary department by providing excellent customer service and creating innovative culinary experiences for Residents. The role involves presenting food, building relationships with Residents and team members, and learning to cater to Residents’ wishes and needs. Training is provided, and applicants from all industries are welcome, including people with a passion for customer service. The employer describes the work hours as excellent and schedules as flexible.

Requirements

No prior experience required; training is provided.
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors.
Previous customer service experience.
Two to three years of experience working in a commercial restaurant or club.

Responsibilities

Provide Residents with the highest quality of customer service.
Communicate and interact with Residents and observe their needs.
Take Residents’ orders and serve meals and beverages.
Set up and decorate dining room tables for mealtimes.
Clean and sanitize the dining room, menus, kitchen, side stations, and other assigned areas.
Assist with preparing beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
Transport used dishes, waste, refuse, and used linen to collection areas.
Complete daily task assignments and ensure work is properly completed.
Note refrigeration temperatures.
Learn and retain Residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
Assist with special events and catering functions in different areas throughout the community.
Assist with plating and delivering meals to remote locations or Residents’ rooms when requested.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director.
