About The Position

The Dining Room Server helps create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for older adult residents. The role involves taking meal orders, serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with basic dining room and dish room responsibilities. The position offers meaningful work in a supportive, team-oriented environment and an indoor, climate-controlled setting. Dining hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The schedule is several days per week, 5–8 hours per day, including weekends. Compensation is $17.50–$18.50 per hour.

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant, food service, or wait staff experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
Set and prepare dining room tables before meals.
Help residents find comfortable seating.
Take meal and beverage orders.
Explain available menu options when needed.
Serve meals, beverages, desserts, coffee, and tea.
Refill water and offer additional servings.
Clear and reset tables between meals.
Help keep the dining room clean, organized, and welcoming.
Assist in the dish room, including operating the dishwasher and putting away clean dishes.
Safely store and return walkers and other mobility devices.
Attend required meetings and in-service training.
Work cooperatively with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
Complete other dining service duties as assigned.
