About The Position

Watercrest Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a Dining Room Server/Wait Staff team member for its Culinary team. The role welcomes residents, associates, and guests to a fine-dining experience in a home-like environment, providing attentive service and supporting dining-room and kitchen cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Able to communicate effectively with management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts.
Able to make independent decisions.
Communicate in a warm, friendly, and caring manner.
Able to follow recipes and menus.
Reliable and timely.
Passion for working with and around senior citizens.
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with seating in the dining room.
Greet residents while taking and serving meal selections.
Set up the dining room and ensure tables are properly set.
Clear and reset tables during and after dining service.
Clean, mop, sweep, and dust the kitchen and dining room.
Remove garbage and trash appropriately.
Complete side work, including folding napkins, stocking and cleaning the wait station, and refilling condiments.
Understand menu items and explain their preparation methods.
Provide customer service that promotes a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
Know residents’ individual diet needs as prescribed by a physician.
Ensure meals are garnished before delivery.
Report needed equipment and supplies to the Cook or Executive Chef.
Use equipment and supplies properly and uphold cleaning and safety standards.
