About The Position
The Dining Room Server constantly improves residents’ dining experience through quality service, wholesome food, and positive behaviors in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The role involves serving resident meal choices, maintaining dining and pub areas, and assisting dietary and kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have demonstrated dietary experience.
- Must be sensitive to the needs of elders and disabled individuals.
Responsibilities
- Use proper service etiquette.
- Place residents’ meal-choice orders with the kitchen, deliver food, and check back with each table after service to confirm residents are satisfied.
- Prepare table condiments before service.
- Maintain dining room cleanliness, including vacuuming after each meal service and resetting tables after they have been sanitized and cleaned.
- Refill sugar caddies and salt-and-pepper shakers.
- Insert daily menus and clean each menu holder.
- Maintain the beverage and server pantry.
- Launder cloth napkins, aprons, and kitchen towels.
- Clean coffee, juice, and soda beverage machines.
- Adjust blinds as needed so they are uniform.
- Stock the pub area with condiments and paper goods, and replenish beverages and snacks as scheduled.
- Assist the dietary aide as needed and when time permits.
- Assist the chef as needed and when time permits.
