About The Position

The Dining Room Server assists with serving meals and beverages, taking orders, bussing tables, and cleaning the dining area. The role provides customer service throughout residents’ dining experiences and helps maintain a welcoming dining room. This is a part-time position with day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
Demonstrate patience and a customer-focused attitude.
Be able to operate basic kitchen appliances or be willing to learn.
Work 3–3.75 hours per shift while standing, walking, and moving about without needing to sit down.

Nice To Haves

Enjoyment in working with older adults.
Some food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve meals to residents, take orders, and assist residents throughout the dining experience.
Enter orders and close them out using Dial’s designated point-of-sale system.
Provide customer service to support resident satisfaction during meals.
Set tables for upcoming meals and reset them for the following meal.
Inform residents about the foods available on the day’s menu.
Address residents by name and be attentive to their food and beverage likes and dislikes.
Prepare beverages before meals and serve each resident their beverage of choice.
Keep water glasses, coffee cups, and/or carafes filled.
Clear tables as needed during meals and bus tables after meals.
Vacuum the dining room carpet after each meal.
Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information about residents, community operations, and personnel.
Report on-the-job injuries to a supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day they occur.
Perform other duties as assigned.
