About The Position

The Clarendale of Addison is recruiting a hospitality-focused Dining Room Manager for its Culinary Services Department. This position provides hands-on dining room management and is responsible for maintaining a superior level of service and cleanliness. The role is full time, has a starting salary of $48,000, and requires participation in a MOD rotation.

The manager oversees the dining room and serving staff to create a positive customer experience. The position also includes staff leadership, training, scheduling, and oversight, while ensuring that food presentation, sanitation, cleanliness, and service meet company standards. The manager may also perform hands-on serving and dining room tasks, including taking orders, answering menu questions, clearing dishes, and assisting with dishwashing.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• At least 3 years of restaurant or senior living experience, or equivalent serving and staff management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of the dining room and serving staff to provide a positive customer experience.
• Provide leadership, development, training, counseling, scheduling, and oversight for serving staff.
• Maintain the Community’s standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Ensure food quality, appearance, and presentation meet standards.
• Ensure the dining room is appropriately staffed, operational, and stocked according to company standards.
• Maintain serving standards for speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Train servers in customer service, efficient serving techniques, table setting, and workstation maintenance.
• Prepare server schedules based on operational needs and budget compliance.
• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
• Take orders and provide service and requested items graciously and courteously.
• Answer questions about menu items.
• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service and assist with dishwashing.
