About The Position
The Dining Room Manager leads the Independent Living dining experience at The Kenwood by Senior Star. This hands-on leadership role oversees dining operations and builds a team that delivers memorable resident and guest experiences through Legendary Hospitality. The manager develops relationships with residents, learns their preferences, and helps make each meal special while maintaining high standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction. The role also supports special events, prospect lunches, and guest experiences that showcase Senior Star. Flexibility is needed to support dining operations seven days a week, including weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Previous dining room leadership or food and beverage management experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on leadership style and genuine passion for people.

- Senior living, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate dining associates to deliver exceptional service.
- Oversee Independent Living dining operations, staffing, scheduling, and daily service.
- Build relationships with residents, learn their preferences, and make dining experiences feel special.
- Ensure excellence in service, cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction.
- Lead by example, assist with operations as needed, resolve concerns, and foster accountability and teamwork.
- Support special events, prospect lunches, and guest experiences.
