About The Position

The Busser is an entry-level member of the dining team who supports servers, keeps dining areas clean and ready for guests, and helps service run smoothly. The role contributes to a positive guest experience by maintaining the flow of service and providing a clean, comfortable, and safe dining environment. Little to no previous work experience is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
• Ability to obtain a state-issued Alcoholic Beverage License.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in settings that may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
• Energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting servers and providing a clean, comfortable environment for guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining room for service by setting and resetting tables.
• Promptly remove dirty dishes from tables during and after guests’ dining experiences.
• Assist servers with delivering food and beverages to tables and stock server-side stations as needed.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of dining rooms, workstations, and shared areas.
• Follow safe food-handling procedures and help provide a safe environment for guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service, respond appropriately to guest requests, and communicate requests to relevant team members.
• Follow laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment ("The Big Six").
