About The Position

The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) at Pratt & Whitney in Springdale, Arkansas, is seeking a Dimensional Inspector for the AWW shift. PSD provides specialized repair capabilities for gas turbine engine cases and components. The site employs 158 people. The inspector processes and inspects a variety of engine cases to determine and verify conformance with work specifications. The role includes visual and dimensional inspections during receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages, and reporting discrepancies. Work is performed using prints, work instructions, layouts, engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements. This is an onsite, safety-sensitive role at an FAA-regulated facility. The employee is subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and ongoing random testing under FAA regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements.
Experience in the aerospace or a related industry.

Responsibilities

Process and inspect a variety of engine cases to determine and verify conformance to work specifications.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections during receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
Report discrepancies found during inspections.
Use prints, work instructions, layouts, engineering specifications, industry standards, repair manuals, and customer requirements to perform inspections.
Use scribes, verniers, calipers, height gages, depth gages, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
