About The Position

KSB GIW, Inc. designs and manufactures heavy-duty slurry pumps and parts for mining and dredging applications. As part of KSB Group, it combines engineering expertise with innovative technologies to improve operations and customer service. The Digital Transformation Strategist supports the development, maintenance, and expansion of internal digital applications that improve business processes and decision-making. The role works with a centralized application platform that connects data sources, manages access and requests, and provides dashboards and tools used across the business. The successful candidate will learn the existing platform and gradually take ownership of application support, development projects, automation, and AI-enabled solutions for practical business needs. The position reports to the Director, Digital Innovation, and is in the Digital Transformation department in Grovetown, Georgia. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; candidates completing their degree within the next year may be considered.
0–3 years of relevant experience; relevant internships, research, academic work, and personal projects demonstrating practical development skills will be considered.
Working knowledge of Python and SQL, including scripting, data transformation, and querying relational databases.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, command-line tools, and modern software development workflows.
Basic understanding of software design, testing, authentication, access permissions, and secure development practices.
Experience using AI coding assistants and large language models, with the ability to evaluate, test, and validate generated outputs.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, learn unfamiliar systems, and work through ambiguous problems.
Strong technical problem-solving, communication, organization, self-motivation, and accountability skills.
Ability to collaborate across departments, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Sound judgment when using AI-generated code and working with sensitive data.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice To Haves

A strong mathematical or engineering background.
Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, manufacturing or industrial data, statistics, machine learning, cloud technologies, or server administration.

Responsibilities

Learn and maintain the existing application platform, dashboards, data pipelines, and connected systems.
Troubleshoot application issues, manage access requests, monitor platform performance, and maintain applications and dependencies.
Design, develop, test, and deploy dashboards, back-end services, and automated workflows using Python, SQL, and related technologies.
Lead assigned digital development projects from requirements gathering through implementation, working with stakeholders to establish priorities, manage timelines, and deliver solutions.
Apply analytics, automation, and AI tools to improve business processes; explore and prototype solutions such as predictive models, anomaly detection, and natural-language interfaces.
Follow secure development practices, including version control, code reviews, role-based access, protection of sensitive information, testing, and dependency management.
Partner with business functions to understand operational challenges, translate requirements into practical technical solutions, and support adoption of new tools.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides; train employees on applications and communicate project outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
Stay current on software, data analytics, automation, and AI developments, and evaluate and recommend tools and approaches that provide measurable business value.
Perform other duties as assigned.
