Ardurra is seeking a Digital Solutions Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Miami, FL, or the South Florida region. Our innovative water and wastewater engineers collaborate closely with clients to plan, design, permit, and construct systems that address their needs comprehensively. The Digital Solutions Water/Wastewater Engineer will bridge traditional water and wastewater engineering with innovative digital technologies, helping utilities and municipalities in South Florida, Florida and nationally improve operational efficiency, asset performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability outcomes. This role will partner closely with engineers, operators, data scientists, software developers, and clients to implement advanced digital solutions including real-time monitoring systems, process optimization tools, hydraulic modeling, data analytics, SCADA integrations, and digital twins. This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex water and wastewater challenges and drive digital transformation across utility operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Water Resources Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
  • Experience with water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment processes, or utility operations.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, operational technology, and digital solutions within the water sector.
  • Experience with one or more industry software platforms such as: InfoWater Pro, InfoWorks ICM, EPANET, SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of digital solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, and distribution networks.
  • Analyze operational, hydraulic, process, and asset management data to identify opportunities for optimization and performance improvement.
  • Develop and maintain digital twin models, dashboards, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with utility clients to understand business needs and translate them into technology-driven solutions.
  • Integrate and support systems including SCADA, telemetry, GIS, CMMS, asset management platforms, and cloud-based applications.
  • Perform hydraulic and process modeling using industry-standard software.
  • Develop data visualizations, KPIs, and reporting tools that facilitate operational decision-making.
  • Assist with pilot programs, proof-of-concept initiatives, and deployment of emerging technologies.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, digital technologies, AI applications, and smart utility best practices.
