This role acts as a vital link in the Marketing and Communications ecosystem, translating the College’s core values into engaging digital content. Its primary purpose is to maintain a professional and innovative brand presence that resonates with current and prospective community members. You will take ownership of your professional trajectory by mastering industry-standard tools and building a public-facing portfolio of work. You will go beyond data entry to analyze digital trends and recommend strategic improvements for the department. You will represent a major institutional brand, honing the work ethic and communication skills required for high-level post-grad employment.

Requirements

  • Comfortable navigating various social media platforms and interested in learning the nuances of various digital marketing platforms.
  • Enjoy working independently, take initiative on projects, and pride yourself on being punctual and professional.
  • Ability to balance multiple moving parts without losing track of the details.
  • No prior experience in an office or digital environment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle content updates across the St. Olaf website (WordPress), ensuring all pages adhere to institutional brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and SEO best practices.
  • Act as a primary liaison for AAA/AA staff, providing professional WordPress support and coordinating updates to ensure departmental web presences are accurate and consistent.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics across Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram; synthesize this data into actionable reports that inform future marketing strategies.
  • Maintain a high level of detail-orientation to ensure "one voice" across all digital touchpoints, correcting inconsistencies and proactively suggesting improvements.
