About The Position

We are the Armed Services YMCA—165 years strong, mission-driven, and not interested in boring marketing. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Director who knows how to make people stop scrolling and start caring. This role requires someone who is equal parts strategist and scrappy executor, who doesn’t just follow trends but is usually early to them (including AI). The ideal candidate has tested, failed, optimized, and scaled, with metrics to show for it, and can turn a mission into a movement. They think in hooks, headlines, and conversion paths, and are as comfortable in data dashboards as in creative brainstorms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field AND 8+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, or purpose-led organizations at least 2 years of which should be with a federated model
  • Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing digital campaigns across multiple channels (e.g., social media, email, paid media, SEO/SEM)
  • Experience using marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools) to inform decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI-driven marketing tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with fundraising or donor acquisition/engagement strategies
  • Experience managing agencies or cross-functional teams
  • You’ve built something from scratch and made it matter
  • You understand how to balance heart + performance (this is nonprofit, but we play to win)
  • You can translate TikTok, LinkedIn, and AI strategy to non-marketers clearly

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute digital marketing strategy across social, email, web, and paid channels
  • Develop and optimize campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion
  • Leverage AI and emerging tools to increase efficiency, creativity, and performance
  • Analyze performance metrics and continuously refine campaigns based on data insights
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with fundraising, programs, and leadership teams
  • Manage external partners and/or internal resources as needed
