About The Position

SAIC is seeking Digital Image Processor Specialists to provide full-time support on-site in working as part of contract team with the DoW Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The Specialist will prepare documents for scanning, document indexing and records management support on-site. This includes preparing documents for digitization by removing fasteners, repairing damaged pages, ensuring visual correctness, and legibility. Specialists will use NARA standard scanner settings based on document type, planned processing, and document characteristics. They will store images/file batches within the designated document management system file structure and create/update properties to provide retrieval. This also includes setting up indexes and print services and maintaining accurate catalogs of materials. The role ensures that each individual file is usable and can be located, retrieved, present, and interpreted over time. Specialists must distinguish classified information from unclassified information when scanning and storing files. They will convert multiple types of files into electronic form, to include document preparation, scanning, and transferring scanned documents to storage media. Post-scanning quality assurance will be conducted to ensure batches are legible, correctly processed, and of high quality. Hardcopy documents must be returned to their respective offices. Records must be transmitted to appropriate file/office locations with metadata. All official records must be maintained in accordance with Records Management guidelines regardless of media type. Scanning equipment will be maintained by performing basic cleaning and maintenance. Confidentiality must be maintained in all aspects of work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Secret level clearance is required.
  • Two (2) years of experience relevant to digital imaging and scanning files in accordance with records management procedures.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Adobe software.
  • Two (2) years of experience handling, storing/archiving classified materials.
  • Understanding of DoW, Joint Staff, and the Military Departments standards of practice.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • The ability to leverage established relationships with other DoD components and agencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and common office software applications.
  • Flexible team player and capable of interacting at all levels within the customer space as well as other parts of the defense community.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to accomplish tasks under pressure with limited supervision.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • Flexibility to accommodate time-sensitive and mission-critical work.
