About The Position

SAIC is seeking Digital Image Processor Specialists to provide full-time support on-site in working as part of contract team with the DoW Office of the General Counsel (OGC).

  • Experience using NARA standard scanner settings
  • Experience storing images/file batches within a document management system
  • Experience creating/updating properties for retrieval
  • Experience setting up indexes and print services
  • Experience maintaining accurate catalogs of materials
  • Ability to ensure individual files are usable, locatable, retrievable, present, and interpretable over time
  • Ability to distinguish classified from unclassified information
  • Experience converting multiple file types into electronic form
  • Experience with scanning and transferring scanned documents to storage media
  • Experience conducting post-scanning quality assurance
  • Ability to ensure records are transmitted to appropriate file/office locations with metadata
  • Ability to maintain all official records in accordance with Records Management guidelines
  • Experience maintaining scanning equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents for scanning, document indexing and records management support on-site.
  • Prepare documents for digitization by removing fasteners, repairing damage pages, visual correctness, and legibility.
  • Use NARA standard scanner settings based on document type, planned processing, and document characteristics.
  • Store images/file batches within designated document management system file structure and create/update properties to provide retrieval.
  • To include setting up indexes and print services and maintaining accurate catalogs of materials.
  • Ensure that each individual file is usable and that it can be located, retrieved, present and interpreted over time.
  • Distinguish classified information from unclassified information when scanning and storing files.
  • Convert multiple types of files into electronic form, to include document preparation, scanning, and transferring scanned documents to storage media.
  • Conduct post-scanning quality assurance to ensure batches are legible, correctly processed, and of a high quality; retain hardcopy documents must be returned to respective office.
  • Ensure records are transmitted to appropriate file/office locations with metadata.
  • Maintain all official records in accordance with Records Management guidelines regardless of media type.
  • Maintain scanning equipment by performing basic cleaning and maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
