About The Position

Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing evolution of Huskie Athletics’ digital content strategy, including the management of webcast production, and digital media operations. Focus on graphic design, video production, and broadcast technologies to both shape direction and support execution of digital and communication initiatives. Ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with departmental goals while helping establish practical workflows, standards, and processes. Contribute to, support and execute USask Huskie communication, ticketing, marketing, and promotional initiatives, with a focus on video, graphics, and sponsorship fulfillment. Act as a key resource within the unit by providing both insight and hands-on support across planning and delivery.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field of study.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic video and networking IT competencies
  • Ability to work with a high level of independence, initiative and attention to detail
  • Ability to simultaneously plan and coordinate multiple events of different types
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Suite video and graphic production equipment and editing software
  • Knowledge of Streaming and Video Production
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment based on discretionary decision-making, a strong awareness of how such decisions affects the University, Colleges, USask Huskie operations and community relationships.
  • Ability to assume leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of education and experience in the field of digital media, video, social media and creative graphic design will be considered.
  • One to two years’ experience within the sport industry, with particular emphasis on graphics, graphic design, video and social platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the USask Huskie digital brand elements across multiple platforms.
  • Creates, develops and delivers video content and/or collaborates with contracted providers for USask Huskie video needs.
  • Support in the development of content for social media and digital platforms
  • Support marketing campaigns that promote teams, events, ticket sales, and programs.
  • Contribute ideas for content that aligns with Huskie brand guidelines.
  • Hires, schedules, trains and administers payroll for part time/seasonal staff and contractors that work on webcasts.
  • Setup and production of webcasts in line with Canada West requirements.
  • Develop and execute live broadcasts, including graphics, camera operation, and production tasks.
  • Prepare webcast materials such as graphics and run-of-show documents.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during events with support from IT when required.
  • Leads part-time seasonal student employees or contractors that capture video and photography at games, events, and team activities.
  • Assist with video editing, highlight packages, and videoboard content.
  • Support design work for social media and promotional materials where requested
  • Work with contractors and team members to complete creative projects.
  • Support the Sports Information Director in updating and maintaining USask Huskie digital platforms, including the website.
  • Leads the organizing, storage, and archiving of Huskie video, photos, and graphic files.
  • Managing digital media equipment and ensuring files are properly labeled.
  • Provide digital and graphic support to coaches and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing team, coaches, and other team members.
  • Support Huskie teams with their social media and content needs.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations and special projects as required.
  • Stay informed on current digital media trends and tools.
  • Operates within the established Digital Content Coordinator budget to deliver core duties and accountabilities effectively.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
