Requirements

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and ability to apply them across areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent layout and design skills.
  • Moderate skills in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Ability to balance aesthetic and production considerations to execute rough and final designs utilizing creative tools – photography, illustration, type, color, texture, and dimensions.
  • Experience in digital marketing management and growth.
  • Basic understanding of on-page and technical SEO practices.
  • Proven ability to create, edit and outline content.
  • Ability to use performance data to inform strategy and optimize content.
  • Advanced knowledge of HMTL5/CSS3, basic understanding of source code, on-page elements, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
  • Strong relationship building and teamwork skills with ability to develop and maintain consultative relationships with team members and business partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work cross departmentally.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization and time management skills; manages multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven experience in email marketing, development of campaigns and journeys utilizing CRM or other email marketing platforms.
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to think out of the box and drive change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science or related fields with an emphasis on digital marketing.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HubSpot preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drives the planning, execution and management of Canvas’ email marketing, website content, in-branch display, online and mobile banking platforms, and additional member communications channels.
  • Researches and implements strategies to maximize current digital channel performance.
  • Leverages data and member insights to develop recommendations about iterative digital strategies.
  • Collaborates with the director of multimedia planning to continue to improve Canvas’ approach to digital channels with a focus on email marketing and website optimization.
  • Identifies opportunities to innovate and makes recommendations for implementing new media.
  • Coordinates the delivery of a wide range of marketing initiatives from planning to execution.
  • Collaborates with the creative services team on ideation of creative assets and maintaining brand standards and consistency across all forms of digital marketing.
  • Collaborates with the senior digital marketing specialist, web development team, multimedia planning director, product owners and other stakeholders to execute on initiatives and projects associated with the digital member journey.
  • Works together with the creative team to leverage content to drive more digital connectivity with members and potential members.
  • Works closely with product teams and other stakeholders to develop content and explore untapped opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Maintains brand standards, stays abreast of best practices and analyzes and researches evolving trends across various digital marketing channels.
  • Identifies and tracks key performance indicators for each digital channel.
  • Analyzes performance results and produces monthly reports for each channel.
  • Ensures positive and effective relationships with Canvas team members, members, and business partners.
  • Consistently meets strategic organization goals and objectives.
  • Exhibits support for the organization’s goals, values, initiatives and cost control.
  • Complies with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements.
  • Follows all safety and security guidelines to properly safeguard member and organization assets.
  • Embraces ongoing education and learns/applies new skills and software applications.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
  • Oversees social media channels as a backup.
