About The Position

The Digital Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps provide a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders throughout the store, verifying and bagging products, staging orders according to food safety guidelines, and providing service at the Meijer Pickup area, including collecting payment. The position also includes responding to customer questions, addressing concerns with leadership when needed, maintaining the curbside area, and supporting other tasks as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Process-driven, with the ability to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience.
Past cashier experience.
Past online ordering experience.

Responsibilities

Fulfill customers’ online curbside orders quickly and accurately.
Provide service at the curbside pickup area, including accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
Greet customers courteously in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
