About The Position

The Digital Assets Product Manager, AVP, joins the State Street Digital Center of Excellence (COE) to help develop digital asset accounting solutions, initially focused on fund accounting processes in alternatives and ETFs. The role collaborates with internal partners, global delivery teams, clients, and third-party vendors to document business needs, develop workable concepts, and implement operational workflow enhancements. It calls for an understanding of traditional financial services and digital assets, and the ability to identify value propositions for accounting products. The position includes accounting responsibilities such as supporting policies and procedures for tracking, valuing, and reporting digital assets; keeping compliance procedures current; and preparing reports, quarterly metrics, and analyses for risk management and performance monitoring. Product management work includes supporting proofs of concept, assessing client and business interest in new technologies, evaluating cryptocurrency fund administration solutions and vendor offerings, defining functional requirements with technology teams, and helping shape roadmaps with achievable milestones and success criteria.

Requirements

At least 5 years of significant experience with client workflows, back- and middle-office products, and fund accounting and administration using accounting platforms.
At least 3 years of experience with digital asset market data providers.
Deep understanding of trade flow processes in alternative and cryptocurrency markets.
Experience helping build innovative products from ideation through design and development using an agile framework.
Experience in business development and client engagement, with a track record of execution and results.
Demonstrated structured thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures for tracking, valuing, and reporting digital assets.
Keep compliance procedures up to date to support regulatory requirements and industry best practices for digital asset accounting.
Prepare reports, quarterly metrics, and analyses to support risk management and performance monitoring.
Serve as a dedicated resource for proofs of concept involving new subproduct types, vendor products, internal enhancements, and cross-product integration.
Engage with business teams, clients, and prospects to assess servicing complexity and interest in new technologies, and propose solutions.
Collaborate with business and product teams to assess cryptocurrency fund administration solutions and identify and validate third-party vendor value propositions.
Define business functional requirements and work with technology teams to outline development work.
Help shape product roadmaps with clear milestones and realistic success criteria.
Work with global delivery teams to document business needs, develop concepts, and carry workflow enhancements through implementation.
