As an intern, you will learn to design, develop, and test digital electronics, including FPGAs, for commercial, military, airborne, and space products. You will collaborate with RF, power converter, mechanical, embedded software, manufacturing, and test engineers to support successful product development and transfer to production. The internship program is site-based. Site-based employees work at least three days (60% or more) per week from a Viasat office or work location during a standard five-day work week. Onsite or hybrid arrangements depend on the role and team. Interns must be available to work 40 hours per week for the full internship duration. Two cohort options are offered: May 17, 2027–August 6, 2027, or June 21, 2027–September 10, 2027. Limited availability exceptions may be granted. Housing assistance is available subject to eligibility. Intern compensation is predetermined based on factors including role, location, and degree level, and is non-negotiable.
