About The Position

As a GPU Logic Design Engineer at Intel, you will help shape graphics and compute technologies by developing GPU IP designs and contributing to architecture and microarchitecture definition. Your work will support performance, power, area, timing, and quality goals, and ensure GPU blocks integrate effectively into full-chip designs. The role includes RTL design and coding, unit-level verification and debug, collaboration with SoC customers, and power and performance analysis. You will also produce technical documentation and contribute to the validation and production readiness of logic designs. Regular onsite presence is required for essential job responsibilities. The role follows Intel’s hybrid work model, allowing time to be split between the assigned site and off-site work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of industry experience; or a master’s degree in the same fields and 3 years of industry experience; or a PhD and 1 year of experience.
  • Experience in RTL design and SystemVerilog coding.
  • Experience converting architecture specifications into low-level designs.
  • GPU or CPU architecture experience.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a global team environment under ambitious schedules.
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated and well organized.
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven expertise in RTL design and logic development.
  • Knowledge of GPU architecture fundamentals and hardware design concepts.
  • Familiarity with microarchitecture principles and low-power design techniques.
  • Experience with static timing analysis tools and methods.
  • Ability to debug microarchitecture and simulation issues effectively.
  • Understanding of cache design.
  • Experience with floating-point math, such as float-to-fixed and fixed-to-float converters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop logic designs and register transfer level (RTL) code for graphics IPs.
  • Define architecture and microarchitecture features for GPU blocks.
  • Optimize logic design for power, performance, area, timing, and physical implementation goals using appropriate strategies, tools, and methods.
  • Conduct and review unit-level verification to ensure design integrity and feature correctness.
  • Debug failing RTL tests and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with SoC customers to support high-quality GPU block integration.
  • Analyze and optimize power and performance to meet project goals.
  • Deliver technical documentation to support communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to GPU validation, debug, and bringing logic designs into high-volume production.
