About The Position

University Information and Technology (UIT) at Oregon State University is seeking a Digital Accessibility & Risk Analyst for a full-time, 12-month professional faculty position. Located on the UIT Digital Experience team and reporting to the Assistant Director for Web Technologies, the Analyst serves as an administrative and process steward for vendor accessibility documentation, vendor-risk intake coordination, and institutional reporting that supports OSU’s digital accessibility and vendor-risk infrastructure. The position coordinates work across UIT Digital Experience, the Office of Information Security, the Office of Procurement, Payment and Travel, and IT service management functions, providing an enterprise-wide perspective and supporting consistent processes and transparent reporting. The Analyst maintains and tracks vendor accessibility documentation, coordinates incoming HECVAT submissions and their routing to the Office of Information Security, and helps ensure accessibility-related tickets and barrier reports are tracked, routed, and answered within expected service timelines. The role develops reporting that provides visibility into intake workflows, assessment lifecycles, documentation status, and ticket responsiveness. It is a cross-functional coordination and process-stewardship role, not a technical accessibility evaluation, compliance, enforcement, or program-ownership position, and it complements the work of OSU’s Accessible Technology Specialist. OSU IT team members are expected to thoughtfully engage with AI tools and champion ethical and responsible use; use data to inform decisions while respecting data portability, enterprise architecture, and privacy guidelines; foster inclusive excellence; and proactively support secure IT systems and services. The position is hybrid and based on the Corvallis campus, with the exact on-site and remote schedule dependent on business needs. A typical Monday–Friday schedule applies, though work outside normal business hours and/or on weekends may sometimes be required. The position is designated critical or security-sensitive and requires a successful criminal history check and position-qualification determination.

  • Professional experience in administrative coordination, process management, or workflow stewardship in a technology, higher education, procurement, or compliance-adjacent environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workflows, track complex multi-party processes, and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with vendors, technical staff, and senior institutional leadership.
  • Experience working with data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to maintain tracking systems, develop dashboards, and produce accurate summary reports for administrative and leadership audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate, build effective cross-unit working relationships, and exercise sound professional judgment across organizational boundaries.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and apply institutional policies, accessibility documentation frameworks, and vendor-risk intake standards, including completing onboarding and ongoing professional development in digital accessibility concepts such as HECVAT, VPAT/ACR, and conceptual-level WCAG.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined position qualified under University Standard 05-010 et seq.; incumbents must self-report convictions. Youth-program roles may require additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with vendor-risk assessment frameworks, including HECVAT or similar tools used in higher education or enterprise technology procurement.
  • Familiarity with VPAT/Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) documentation standards and their role in technology procurement and accessibility governance.
  • Conceptual familiarity with digital accessibility standards, including WCAG and Section 508; technical accessibility evaluation expertise is not required.
  • Experience in a higher education IT environment and familiarity with IT governance, vendor management, or procurement and contract management processes.
  • Experience with IT service management platforms, intake ticketing systems, or workflow management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Oregon State University’s digital ecosystem, procurement processes, or institutional IT governance structure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a centralized repository of VPATs and ACRs for university-adopted tools, enterprise platforms, and digital services.
  • Track documentation requirements through vendor onboarding, procurement, purchasing, and renewals; coordinate with vendors and procurement partners to obtain missing or outdated VPATs and ACRs.
  • Coordinate incoming HECVAT submissions, review them for completeness, coordinate missing documentation, and prepare complete submissions for routing to the Office of Information Security for technical review.
  • Track HECVAT assessment lifecycles and aging.
  • Coordinate administrative intake for accessibility barrier reports and related service requests submitted through reporting forms, ServiceNow, and other intake platforms.
  • Monitor ticket queues and aging requests to support timely response, routing, escalation, and resolution of accessibility-related service requests.
