The Dietitian provides nutrition services to patients ranging from infants to geriatrics. The role includes nutrition assessments and developing nutrition plans and treatments, with experience in calorie counts, enteral nutrition, food-drug interactions, and TPN required. The unit uses EPIC. Candidates are reviewed by the clinical team to determine clinical fit. Candidates who pass clinical review and meet Piedmont guidelines are sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens may be sent on a case-by-case basis. Full compliance is required to start on time; otherwise, the start may be pushed back two weeks because orientation occurs biweekly. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (for example, 8 hours for an 8-week assignment or 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
