About The Position

The Dietary Services Associate works under the guidance of the chef/production manager to cook meals and provide food service for patients, the retail cafe, and catering events at the hospital. This is a full-time position, with day, evening, and night shifts available. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, such as fast food, hotel operations, or healthcare.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen.
Provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, push dish racks, frequently stoop and bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Culinary experience, such as as a cook, line cook, commercial kitchen worker, fast-food worker, dietary cook, or healthcare foodservice worker.
Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
Follow company recipes and guidelines to prepare food items.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures.
Adhere to facility health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal matching their order and dietary requirements.
Provide excellent customer service to patients.
Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
