About The Position

Southridge Specialty Care, an 82-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Marshalltown, Iowa, is hiring a Dietary Services Manager. This full-time role oversees the daily operations of the dietary department and helps ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet physician orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans. The manager supervises and supports dietary staff, manages food ordering and department costs, and collaborates with other departments to support residents’ nutritional needs and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Documented completion of a State-approved Food Services Supervisor Course.
• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in food, safety, sanitation, and modified diets.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Food Protection Manager certification and ServSafe® certification are preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dietary department operations, including meal preparation, service, sanitation, and staffing.
• Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet physicians' orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans.
• Supervise, coach, and support dietary team members to promote quality service and teamwork.
• Manage food ordering, inventory, budgeting, and cost controls for efficient department operations.
• Collaborate with department teams to support residents’ nutritional needs and satisfaction.
