Dietitian Nutritionist
About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian for an inpatient position with CarolinaEast Medical Center, a 350-bed acute care hospital in New Bern, North Carolina. This is a perfect opportunity for experienced or new Dietitians. The role involves providing exceptional nutrition care to patients on inpatient units, demonstrating knowledge of the nutrition care process, and offering hospital-wide coverage including as-needed holiday coverage. The position also requires one Saturday onsite and one Sunday on-call per month. Additionally, the dietitian will provide education for interdisciplinary team members, patients, and/or family members, and efficiently organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credential and have state licensure (LDN) in NC
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal oversight in collaboration with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
