Dietitian Nutritionist
About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a full-time Dietitian Nutritionist to support the Inpatient Medical Nutrition Department at Methodist Hospital Southlake in Merrillville, IN. This position offers a great opportunity to grow and enhance your clinical skills by working with a variety of inpatient populations. New graduates and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply! Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in Indiana (or eligible)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Be a self-starter and a team player
- Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
- Practice at your full scope with order writing privileges
- Perform quality improvement initiatives
- Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
- Precept dietetic interns
