About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Remote Registered Dietitian for Comanche County Memorial Hospital, a 283-bed teaching hospital located in Lawton, OK. This role involves providing nutritional care for various inpatient units, performing quality improvement initiatives, educating healthcare team members, and assisting the Food Service Management team as needed. The hospital is situated near the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and is within driving distance of major Texas and Oklahoma cities.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials
- Licensed in OK
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and a team player
- Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
- 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
- In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
- Perform quality improvement initiatives within the nutrition department
- Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses
- Assist the Food Service Management team, as needed
