About The Position
Come work for the world’s leading private employer of Registered Dietitians! Sodexo Healthcare is seeking a full-time inpatient Registered Dietitian who is well-versed in acute care and long-term care clinical experience to join our clinical team at Renown Regional Medical Center, located in Reno, NV. Renown Health has 800 beds and the region’s only Level II Trauma Center.
Requirements
- A Registered Dietitian credential and licensed in NV or eligible for a license in NV
- Prior acute care experience in an acute care healthcare setting and some long-term care/clinical experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, a self-starter, and will be a team player
- The ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
- 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional care for inpatients with a variety of disease states at Renown Regional Medical Center
- Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
- Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
- Precept dietetic interns
