About The Position

Christian Health is hiring a full-time Dietary Van Driver in its Dining and Nutrition Services department. The position drives a van to deliver food and distribute food and paper orders to units, including off-campus locations. It is also responsible for paper-product inventory and ordering, and assumes the Storeroom Clerk’s responsibilities when that employee is absent. The role requires understanding and embracing Christian Health’s mission and complying with its ASPIRE Standards of Performance. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and every other weekend. The hourly rate range is $18.00–$20.00, with the rate determined in part by relevant experience, education, and credentials.

Requirements

High school education.
Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Take inventory of paper products and notify the Dietary Clerk of shortages.
Deliver food products to lower-campus buildings and deliver food and paper orders to units, including off-campus locations.
Stock paper products in the storeroom, kitchen, and DeRoo House.
Sweep and mop, pull shakes from the freezer into the produce refrigerator, and stock and rotate stock in refrigerators.
Date and rotate food products before stocking them.
Deliver soiled towels and aprons to the laundry room.
Assist the Storeroom Clerk with receiving and storing larger deliveries.
Maintain van needs, including fueling, cleaning, and filling out maintenance work orders.
Deliver special-request food and supplies to lower-campus buildings for special functions.
Deliver ice to the East Wing freezer at 3 p.m.
Take on Storeroom Clerk responsibilities in that employee’s absence.
Demonstrate understanding of and embrace Christian Health’s mission statement.
Comply with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
