About The Position

Christian Health is hiring a full-time Dietary Van Driver for its Dining and Nutrition Services department. The driver makes food deliveries and distributes food and paper orders to units, including off-campus locations. The role is also responsible for paper-product inventory and ordering, and assumes the storeroom clerk’s duties when that employee is absent. The driver is expected to understand and embrace Christian Health’s mission statement and comply with its CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and every other weekend. The stated hourly rate range is $18.00–$20.00. Christian Health notes that relevant experience, education, and credentials may be considered when determining the rate.

Requirements

High school education.
Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Demonstrate compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.

Responsibilities

Take inventory of paper products and notify the Dietary Clerk of shortages.
Deliver food products to lower-campus buildings.
Stock, sweep, and mop; move shakes from the freezer to the produce refrigerator.
Deliver soiled towels and aprons to the laundry room.
Stock the storeroom, kitchen, and DeRoo House with paper products.
Assist the Storeroom Clerk with receiving and storing larger deliveries.
Stock, sweep, mop, and rotate stock in refrigerators.
Date and rotate food products before stocking.
Maintain van needs, including fueling, cleaning, and submitting maintenance work orders.
Deliver special-request food and supplies to lower-campus buildings for special functions.
Deliver ice to the East Wing freezer at 3:00 p.m.
Bend, lift, stock shelves, store food in the freezer, and deliver food to units and other buildings.
Order paper products.
