About The Position

The Dietary Staff member assists the cook with preparing and serving meals, helps load food carts and serve meals to residents, and sets up the dining room. The role also includes washing and storing dishes, completing scheduled cleaning duties, reporting supply and equipment needs and matters related to food receiving and storage, attending in-service educational programs, and following safety and infection control codes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments.
• Numerical ability to prepare and measure cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Manual dexterity for preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment, and cleaning the work area.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
