About The Position
Brandeis University Counseling Center is seeking a temporary Staff Therapist to serve as an Embedded Community Therapist at Brandeis Hillel in Waltham, Massachusetts. The therapist will provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strength-based mental health care to undergraduate and graduate students, primarily located at Brandeis Hillel. The role supports students through individual and group therapy, crisis support, and community outreach, working collaboratively with colleagues and campus partners. The position is offered at $75 per hour for 7–21 hours per week through May 15.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, or a PhD/PsyD in a related field.
- LICSW or LMHC license in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy for college students.
- Conduct assessments, triage, and crisis intervention.
- Deliver trauma-informed and culturally adaptive care.
- Participate in community outreach, workshops, and consultation.
- Collaborate with campus partners to support student wellbeing.
- Contribute to team meetings, documentation, and program initiatives.
