About The Position

Carl Junction is seeking a Dietary Cook for its family-owned organization, which provides a safe and pleasant home for adults with mental illness and aims to improve residents’ quality of life. The cook ensures kitchen duties are completed during the weekend shift in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role calls for a self-motivated and energetic person who prepares and serves meals, maintains kitchen cleanliness and food safety, and works cooperatively with staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
Serve residents in a timely and polite manner while following safety and sanitation guidelines.
Store food properly and clean equipment, the kitchen, and the dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
Use equipment, supplies, and dietary goods properly.
Maintain a safe work environment by following center safety practices and immediately reporting safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.
Participate in staff development and attend in-service training.
Promote cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents, and visitors through appropriate behavior and communication in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and the code of ethics.
