About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join the culinary team. The Cook prepares meals that meet standards for quality and presentation, following established recipes and menus while observing food safety and hygiene practices. The role includes maintaining an organized kitchen, collaborating with kitchen staff to provide timely service, monitoring inventory, and assisting with supply orders. The position offers an hourly pay rate of $17.00–$19.00, based on experience in a Dietary/Food Services environment. Long-term care experience is strongly preferred. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods.
• Passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and be self-motivated.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
