About The Position

CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia is seeking a PRN Dietary Aide to support patient care through quality meal service. The role assists with meal preparation, tray assembly and delivery; maintains cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas; follows food safety standards and dietary guidelines; and helps ensure meals are served accurately and efficiently. The Dietary Aide works with a team to create a positive dining experience and provides coverage as needed for staffing and scheduling. Flexible scheduling is offered in a supportive healthcare environment. A dependable, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and commitment to service is sought. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.
• Dependability, teamwork, a strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that ensure quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Follow menu and special-diet requirements, and report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to a dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
• Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal delivery.
• Provide coverage as needed for staffing and scheduling needs.
