About The Position

CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia is hiring a PRN Dietary Aide to support patient care through quality meal service in a healthcare environment. The role assists with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal delivery; maintains kitchen and dining-area cleanliness; follows food safety standards and dietary guidelines; and helps ensure patients receive accurate, efficient service. The Dietary Aide works with a team to create a positive dining experience and provides coverage as needed for staffing and scheduling needs. Flexible scheduling is offered. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification or a similar food-safety certification, where required by the state and facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup and sanitation tasks in kitchen, dining, or serving areas.
• Prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
• Use service methods and food-handling techniques that support food quality.
• Apply sanitation procedures to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Follow menu and special-diet requirements, and report dietary non-compliance, concerns, or patient complaints to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal delivery.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
