Dietary Aide - Part-Time

About The Position
Mount Carmel Care Center is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide for its 69-bed, faith-based, non-profit long-term care facility in the Berkshires. The role involves supporting residents during dining, assisting with food selection and service, maintaining dining and kitchen cleanliness, and occasionally helping with cold food preparation under the chef’s direction. The position includes one weekly 7 a.m.–3 p.m. shift and two weekly 3 p.m.–7 p.m. shifts. Compensation is $16.50 per hour plus shift differential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food service experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interact with elderly residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents as they enter the dining room.
- Assist residents with selecting foods.
- Serve food according to residents’ requests.
- Set, clear, and clean tables.
- Interact socially with residents.
- Occasionally assist with cold food preparation under the chef’s direction.
- Ensure proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment.
